Migraine is a common, painful, and disabling disorder. The goal of this study is to examine the relationship between migraine and cognitive functioning.

This study may be for you if: 1) A physician has diagnosed you with migraine (and have 4 to 14 migraine days per month and 4 to 12 headache attacks per month) 2) You are between the ages of 25-55, 3) You read English, 4) you have an iPhone

What will happen if I participate in this study?

1) In order to assess your eligibility, there will be a 3-5-minute screening form to complete and a 45-minute screening phone call.

2) If you are interested and meet criteria, you will then provide informed consent and complete a set of questionnaires on the app which will take approximately 10 minutes. The surveys will include questions about your emotional health, your quality of life, your thoughts, feelings and beliefs related to headaches, any disability you experience due to your headaches, and migraine triggers.

﻿﻿3) Once you complete the initial questionnaires, the app will alert you to complete assessments five times a day for at least 2 weeks and a maximum of 4 weeks (up until you report 5 migraine attacks). Data collection will include brief cognitive assessments, and questions about your headache, symptoms related to your headache, and medication use. Each assessment will take approximately 8-10 minutes.

4) A 5-10 minute interview regarding your experience with participating in the study will be completed.

How long will I take part in this research?

It would take you at least two (2) weeks and a maximum of four (4) weeks (up until you report 5 migraine attacks) to complete this research study. During this time, we would not ask you to make any in-person study visits. All contact will be via the phone or app.
